Are you ready for Camp?
Dear Parents, Guardians and Campers!
Camp Low Echo will
have a new look this summer. Why? Because girls are
always changing and this will allow girls to have the best
camping experience possible. Each week we will have a special
theme. Girls in their units will participate in age- appropriate
activities, plus bring out their creative side with the
daily camp craft and enjoy the afternoon swim time and
canoeing.
We have added some adventure camp weeks for girls wanting more
from their camp experience and we still offer the traditional
camp experience as well. There is something for EVERYONE!!
Each girl will learn new skills, a sense of responsibility,
make new friends and develop a deeper appreciation of the
out-of-doors!
For girls entering 7th grade and up, Program Aide opportunities
will again be offered for girls wanting to work toward
their leadership training.
Camp Low Echo is the summer resident camp for the Girl Scouts of Winema Council,
Inc. The camp is nestled at the base of Mt. McLoughlin on the beautiful
Lake of the Woods , in the Winema National Forest . Camp Low Echo has served
girls with quality camp programs since 1946. Campers and staff working together
plan activities that are both beneficial and fun.
At Camp Low Echo we adhere to high safety standards and strict management
guidelines. We comply with all Oregon State laws and meet strict regulations
set by Girl Scouts of the U.S.A. We are also proud to have achieved continued
certification from the American Camping Association.
Look through the Summer Camp Brochure.
Spend time reading it. Once you and your camper have seen all the exciting
programs, decide together which ones she will attend this summer.
Participation at Girl Scout resident camp provides life
long memories for girls. With your support and guidance in
selecting a session for your camper, she will develop greater
courage, confidence and character as a result of her experience
at Camp Low Echo.

"It
is important to me that girls are confident and independent.
Be able to take on new challenges in their life with
positive outlooks knowing they make the difference and
don't rely or depend on others to do it for them."
